Birthplace of hockey in China chooses Poligras

Molidawa Daur in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia, is the hometown of field hockey in China. The traditional sport of the Daur people, field hockey was recognized on the national cultural heritage list in 2006 and its birthplace has continued to feed a wealth of talent into the national teams.

 
 

Nurturing China’s hockey talent

Liaoning Nautical Sports School is the training base of the hockey team in Liaoning Province, which is one of the cradles of hockey talent in China. Located on the coast of Lvshun, the facility is an important summer training base for hockey teams of all levels across China, and the school receives various domestic and international hockey teams to train and compete year round.

 
 
 

2024 Men’s Hockey Asian Championship will be played on Poligras

From National Championships to Olympic promise

After the completion of the venue, Liaoning Nautical Sports School successfully hosted the 2024 National Men's Hockey Championship Cup in June putting the new turf through its paces for the first time in a national competition. The stage is set for September’s Men’s Hockey Asian Championship and as we head into the Paris Games where the China’s women’s team are tipped to medal, the importance of these hockey strongholds that continue to feed talent into the game, come into sharper focus.
